Job Description

Our client, a well-funded biotech start-up focused on immunology and drug development for oncology, is seeking a talented and motivated Computational Biologist to join their team.

The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to analyze large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data sets to identify novel targets and pathways for drug development.

The candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing computational algorithms and tools for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data sets to identify novel targets and pathways for drug development

  • Develop and implement computational algorithms and tools for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation

  • Collaborate with experimental biologists to design experiments and validate computational predictions

  • Interpret and communicate complex data sets to interdisciplinary teams

  • Stay current with developments in computational biology, bioinformatics, and oncology

  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other scripting languages

  • Experience with genomics and transcriptomics data analysis

  • Experience with machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience working in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting is a plus
